Studio Residency
At East Village Arts there are a limited number of small studios which can be rented by individual artists for working space, or mini-galleries.
If you have a studio at EVA, you are considered an artist resident.
Studio Rental /Residency:
The base price for studio rental is a modest $120 per month. They can be used to display an artist’s changing works, sales booths, or as active working studios.
As a Studio Resident, you will have your own key to the building and 24 hour access to the entire common facility. You will be a trusted core member and will be expected to cooperate for the common good of all residents.
Rules:
Studio rental may be paid upfront by 6 months with a 5% discount or on a monthly basis.
The care, cleaning, and security of the studio and the contents therein are the responsibility of the artist resident.
Keys must not be duplicated. Non-residents will need to check out keys for events from Operations Managers.
Exhibitions: Artists are invited to propose, curate, and execute Art Exhibitions of retrospective or current work, organize group shows together in the large galleries and propose projects.
Exhibitions are by invitation, or you may propose a project with gallery donation of $150 for 3-4 week single artist show.
The artist will be issued a key for the duration of their set-up, showing, and removal.
EVA requires 15% value premium for works of art sold by non-member artists.
